A tournament board is flat and does not fold, so it stays put on the table and has no seam down the middle. A 48×48 cm board suits Staunton No. 5 pieces (90 mm king); a 54×54 cm board suits No. 6 or No. 7 (95 mm). Pieces are in Chess pieces.
